Tiree
The Isle of Tiree lays off the west coast of Scotland, and is reached by a four hour ferry trip from Oban. Although largely flat has some of the most incomparable beaches in the Hebrides. We spent a full week in 2012 just enjoying the wide-open freedom of the beaches, and wondering why we had not bought the kids here when they were younger. Spring Bank Holiday weekend, 3 mile long white sand beaches, and we were the only people there for much of the day. Not once, but many times this week.
