Eigg
We have visited Eigg a number of times, and find ourselves being drawn back by its fantastic atmosphere and tranquillity. The island is reached via a 75 minute ferry crossing from Mallaig or a smaller boat from Arisaig. There are no visitors cars on the island, so you have to carefully plan where you want to visit. Eigg has some of the most stunning landscapes in the isles, and a huge scope for photographic visits. The weather can see all four seasons in a single day, and should not be under-estimated. On a visit in October, we were unable to reach the island for 3 days, as a result of storm force windows.
These pictures reflect just a small number of the locations we have visited on the Island.
